Kirkmabreck Community Council is a volunteer organisation which meets at the Creetown Primary School at various as advertised. We discuss a wide range of topics and aim to either deal with or pass along to the relevant authorities any issues brought to us by members of the community. It is very important that our members have as wide a reach within the community as possible, so new members are not only welcome but necessary to help us remain in touch with community issues.

THE NEXT MEETINGS IS ON THE 10TH FEBRUARY 2025

Kirkmabreck Community Council can have a maximum number of 11 voting members, but currently has 7 with a few likely to resign or retire in the coming years. If we fall below 4 voting members, the Community Council becomes disestablished, resulting in a loss of funding to the parish.

Chair - Martin Armstrong

Living in Creetown, Martin volunteered to help out in 2014 with a few issues at that time and ended up sticking around.

Secretary - Sandra Sainty

A Carsluith resident of many years, Sandy and her husband Peter joined up to help ensure that Carlsuith is represented at all times. She is currently filling the role of secretary, ensuring we don't miss out on important correspondence.

Agnes Heron

An important link in the community. When wondering who might know the answer to a question, Agnes is sure to know somebody.

David Wright

Peter Sainty

Peter was born and educated in the Stewartry and returned to the area for his retirement.  Since settling in Carsluith he has become involved in several organisations and groups as well as the Community Council.

Jim McDowall
Involved in multiple community organisations, Jim brings the knowledge in how to get things done.

Treasurer - Roger Cope

Roger and Fiona moved into Creetown in June 2022 and are renovating the house and garden formerly known as Bayview. They have changed the name to Bay Tree House as the view of the bay has disappeared and been replaced by a large bay tree!
